SpaceBall Question - moving drawing views

SpaceBall Question - moving drawing views

(OP)
I'm constantly moving my drawing views around - by accident. Is there a way to disable this with the SpaceBall 4000FLX? It was never a problem with SolidWorks 2004 - but Dang-it! What a PIA this is!

SolidWorks 2005 SP03.0 / Windows 2000 Professional

RE: SpaceBall Question - moving drawing views

Tools\Add-ins\3DControl - Uncheck it - then the Spaceball is disabled in SW. To turn it back on follow the above path and check mark it.

But I don't want to de-activate my SpaceBall in SolidWorks.
That'd be like disabling my left hand! I just want to not accidently move around my drawing views anymore. I could just not touch the thing while in a drawing - but it's still handy for zooming & panning. I just want everything to work my way. Is that asking too much?

Go to "3D Control" menu > Properties > Options tab > Drawing Views, uncheck "move on select".
