ordinate dimensions in inventor 10

ordinate dimensions in inventor 10

(OP)
Hello,

When I place ordinate dimensions in inventor 10 along the X axis, the dimension text aligns itself horizontally with the bottom of the part.
This causes a lot of crowding of the dimensions.
Is there a way to get the text to align itself perpendicular to the X axis? This is the way I was taught to do ordinate dimensioning.

Regards

EBJ

RE: ordinate dimensions in inventor 10

You can change the text alignment using the format menu item and styles editor. Choose dimension style then text tab, then vertical alignment. The middle choice will show in-line vertical alignment. This should solve your problem.
