Two distinct bodies

Two distinct bodies

Two distinct bodies

(OP)
Hi all.  I have created a part using an add-on program called Geometry works. The part is a spiral which intersects a moulded connector. However, the two parts do intersect but do not appear to have 'merged' into one (I can still see the surfaces of the spiral even though it passes into a solid body. When I export to .iges I get 2 bodies in my part almost like an assembly. This causes me problems when i try to use the mould flow analysis. Is there anyway to merge the bodies outside of the feature that created them (there appears to be no check box within the geometry works spiral feature to merge parts). BTW i used the geometry works 'solid' helix so this is not a surfaces issue.
