SW error message

SW error message

RE: SW error message

You have to let it close first and update SW before you launch it again.

This isn't as much a SW issue as it is an Excel Issue.

If you have closed and SW has updated the DT. Then you must close the Excel.exe in the background using Task manager or you will get that error every time.

The problem is your Excel.exe isn't shutting down after you leave Excel. Look to Microsoft as to why this is happening.

RE: SW error message

(OP)
My VAR suggested that it might be a Microsoft problem also but he said that if I can insert a worksheet into a word doc and manipulate it with no error than it might not be a Microsofot problem.

Do you agree?

Can I not have a DT and excel worksheet open at the sametime?

RE: SW error message

It varies, because Word is not as demanding as SW is and plus it's not a direct MS applicaiton, even though SW is MS compliant.

No you cannot. This has been a problem for years. You have to be one or the other, because it causes a conflict beteewn Apps.

Thanks sbaugh.
One might think our VAR should have know that.

RE: SW error message

This may be due to EXCEL Add-ins left on. Open Excel and disable add-ins.
