I installed a new ethernet card in a machine running unigraphics nx2.  After i did this, the program will not open anymore.  i get "unigrapics initialization error - UG FLEXlm Error: The derived vendor daemon is down [-97]"  How do i get rid of this.  What is going on.  Please help, i'm extremely new to this.  and i need an answer very fast.

Thanks

RE: Not starting up

If you need a good answer very fast, I would suggest calling GTAC on this.

RE: Not starting up

Is the license server running on this machine?

The FLexLM license sheet is generated using the MAC address of the ethernet card of the machine that its running on.  If you change the card, the MAC address changes, and the verification that FlexLM uses will fail.

If thats the case, you'll need to get a new license file from UGS, generated with the new MAC address.

Everything should be designed as simple as possible, but not simpler.
