Methanol Synthesis kinetics over Zn-Cu-Al catalyst

Methanol Synthesis kinetics over Zn-Cu-Al catalyst

Methanol Synthesis kinetics over Zn-Cu-Al catalyst

(OP)
Dear all,
I'm working in a methanol plant. It's needed to simulate MeOH syn. loop using hysys software. For synthesis reactor it's prefered to use kinetic reactor. What I don't know how to deal with is reaction rate equation based on Arrhenius form. I've tried to apply different literature available reaction rate into Arrhenius form, none of which give good results.
It would be highly appreciated if somebody can help me or introduces some references.
Thanks in advance.
Rezaeb

RE: Methanol Synthesis kinetics over Zn-Cu-Al catalyst

rezaeb,
you can find information on the kientics of Methanol sysnthesis in Ullman's Encyclopeida of industrial chemistry, you also can find more information in "Catalyst Handbook for Twigg"
I dont recommend using Hysys for Methanol simualtion because it doesn't give accurate results, try to use Proii or Aspen Plus,
