The dead weight of pressure vessel
The dead weight of pressure vessel
(OP)
I need to calculate the dead weight of pressure veseel
external equipment doesnt need to take into account
It contains 50 sieve plates
veseel is full of water
made of stainless steel 304 , 37m tall and 1.5m diameter
cylindrical body , ellipsoial head = 11mm thickness
And how can i estimate the internal pressure of the vessel
i only know it operates as bottom , vaopur top, and reflux near the bottom.

RE: The dead weight of pressure vessel
You have to be a professional engineer to estimate the pressure of a vessel - or have the equivalent training and experience. Otherwise, you won't understand what you are doing or what the resultant estimate means.
I have the calculations and I believe I've already generated what you are seeking, but I can't turn over numbers to you without knowing what you intend to do with them or how you intend to use them. If you furnish the details of the scope and your purpose, many other engineers like myself may go into further explanations and guide you through what you want to do. But to just blindly furnish you a series of numbers and remain ignorant of what you intend to do with them would be close to criminal because you could use them to harm yourself or others. Sorry.
RE: The dead weight of pressure vessel
Art Montemayor's caution is well advised and I wonder why you would want to go through such an excercise when there are likely better sources for the information.
If it is an existing vessel, it would seem that you should be able to get the information you seek from the information provided by the vessel fabricator. Among other places in the vessel documentation, the dead weight empty and full of water is typically found on the vessel drawing.
If it is a new vessel yet to be fabricated, again I would seek information from your vessel supplier.
