please i do not know if its appropraite to post this message here. i need to change my carreer from product development to oil and gas engineering. please can anyone recomend a place for me to aquire such training in 6 months or 3months. i have relative experience in that field.

RE: career change from pd to oil and gas

Look at the ASME or API websites.  Even NACE or ASM may also have some types of training, depending on what you will be doing in the Oil & Gas industry.

www.asme.org   (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)
www.api.org    (American Petroleum Institute)
www.nace.org   (National Association of Corrosion Engineers)
www.asminternational.org (The Materials Information Society)

Good Luck!

RE: career change from pd to oil and gas

You may also want to look at specific oil and gas training.  These websites may be helpful depending on where you are located.

www.peice.com (Petroleum Institute for Continuing Education)

www.pits.ca (Petroleum Industry Training Service)

I took training through P.I.T.S. - very credible.
