Sensor installation on 2" High Pressure Piping

(OP)
Dear All,
I need your advice regarding installation of sensor on 2" high pressure (10000 psi). Is it OK if we just drill some hole and make a thread match with the sensor ? or there is some specific requirement for this.

Regards,
RK

RE: Sensor installation on 2" High Pressure Piping

13392017,

THAT IS DEFINITLY NOT OK....

If you're talking about drilling a hole in the side of a 2" pipe and tapping it to screw in a threaded pressure sensor for a 10,000 psi system.

You need to use properly installed fittings designed for the pressure rating of your system.

You scare me,
