Everytime I leave my desk for a few minutes with surfcam 2005 running, when I come back there is an error on the machine that says "Default Exception Caught".  When I click ok, surfcam closes.  I tried to repair the installation with the cd, but that didn't work.  Any Ideas??

I forgot to mention, I am running Surfcam 2005 on a Windows XP SP2 machine.  I have a second machine running the same exact setup with no problems.  Thanks.

RE: default exception caught

Had similar problems plus too many others to mention and finally gave up on SC2005 and went back to SC2004, too many problems with few improvements over 2004.  This by far is the worst release of SC I can remember in the past 10 years.  And 3 months after it's release, still no patch.  After seeing their dog and pony show at Westec in April, I had hopes for great things from them, now...

Are you sure there isn't a screen saver running in the back ground on that machine?  Surfcam has the auto save feature that may conflict with the screen saver or virus scanner.  That is the only thing I can think of at the moment.

moldcore, it turns out that you were right and i appreciate your fast response time.  It was the screen saver that was causing the issue.  I recieved an email from surfcam support that said the same thing.  Thanks again.
