Is this a word?

Dose Suckeruper's sound right? As in lads that brown nose.

RE: Is this a word?

Perhaps "upsucker", or "sucker-up" (similar to passer-by).

"Brownnoser" is definitely a word in common use.

I like "sycophant", "lackey", and "bootlick", and "yes-man".

RE: Is this a word?

I would expect "suckerupper" to be better Goolgling both variants yields about 10 hits for single p and 40 hits for double p. Neither result instills a great deal of confidence.

There are plenty of similar words out there which are much more fun

"truckler"
"sycophant"
"arse-licker" (no room for misinterpretation there!)

RE: Is this a word?

I like suckerupper (I agree its better with a double-p) - it implies the person is both a brownnoser and a sucker for being so obviously a brownnoser!

RE: Is this a word?

I'll go with the double 'p' so.

RE: Is this a word?

Webster says a synonym for sycophant is parasite... I think I like that.

RE: Is this a word?

The word is "suckup" around here.

RE: Is this a word?

In the military, we used to call brownnosers "leg-humpers".
