Config issue

(OP)
I come across this issue with almose every config. When i file>open then chose the configuration i'd like to open i get this message "An attempt was made to access an unnamed file past its end" But if i open the Default then choose my config once open i have no problem.

Sound familiar? If so any idea what causes this?

Adam

RE: Config issue

I have not come across that message.

What version/SP of SW are you using? If possible update to the latest SP to see if it fixes the problem.

RE: Config issue

I understand, thats another issue..... upgrading. For some reason upgrading to 1.1, where im at now, was a huge hassle. We upgraded then there were compatibility issues with using the SW viewer in production. Production could only see partial drawings.
So now there's a big stink about upgrading to the latest SP which is 3.1 right? I disagree with the decision to put upgrading at a standstill. But its not my say. The word is they'll stick it out untill '06 is released. And you know who makes those desisions, the one's who dont have to use SW.

RE: Config issue

I just "Googled" An attempt was made to access an unnamed file past its end & got plenty of hits ... unfortunately none of them for SW.
However, the hits often refer to library or MS office errors, so, reading between the lines, I would guess at it being something to do with Excel. (I am assuming you use Design Tables to create your configs.)

RE: Config issue

A lot of problems were fixed by SP3 & I've already read in some posts that SP3.1 has fixed others. Push harder for the SP upgrade.
