removing surface to show parts.

removing surface to show parts.

removing surface to show parts.

I've got an assy. when in an iso orientation there is a wall in the way of parts i want to show. The thing is i want to do this in the assy model not in a drawing. I've thought of creating a cut to remove the wall in that assy, but with bosses parallel to the wall, it becomes a bit involved. Is it possible to "remove surfaces" so to see whats behind it instad of just cutting a big chunk from the assy?

TIA

Adam

RE: removing surface to show parts.

Could you change the wall to a transparent object in the assembly.  I had done it in the past, but being away from SW for the past year and a half I don't recall how to do it.

I think when 2006 comes out, you can do this.
For now, maybe make a configuration with the wall removed?

Really?

Chris, and as in removed you mean an extruded cut in a configuration?
