Where's the support?

Where's the support?

Where's the support?

(OP)
This question is targeted to those who use both Pro/Engineer and Catia.  As you know, PTC has a wealth of information on their tech support site.  How to docs, suggested techniques, bug workarounds, etc.  Where is this information for Catia suite?  I have yet to find a site for Catia that is as complete as the one from PTC.  I'm at a loss on how to figure out some of the smallest problems because I cannot find an site with decent Catia tech support.  Is it available through Dassault's site?  IBM's site?

Thanks...

RE: Where's the support?

The problem is that, whenever IBM/DS has made this information generally available, competitors have used it against them in sales situations.  It's a cutthroat business.

RE: Where's the support?

You are already at a good place for help.  I have gotten a lot of invaluable tips and information from people in this forum.  There is always someone ready to help!

PTC's way around competitors getting access was to make you provide your customer information i.e. license information tied to a sales order, before you could gain access to the secure customer site I'm sure some competitors made it in but they had a good mechanism in place to try and prevent that.

I'm not too sure about that. I would be extremely suprised if DS doesn't have licenced copies of Pro/E, and vice versa.

RE: Where's the support?

Here is the link to the IBM PLM tech support website.
http://techsupport.services.ibm.com/engineering/support

You can search APARs here.  There are other things available to you depending on your service level agreement.
But it is no where near the quality of PTC.
I used ProE for over 5 years and the support website is amazing; complete with step by step how to's, suggested techniques....
