I have routed electrical wiring though out an assembly using create in place and interpart copy. I now have use the wiring in a different assembly, and get rid of the initial assembly. Is there a way to make the part a stand alone part without the initial links or to delete the links to the first assembly, so that they can be used in a new one? Or must I either re-relate the first or re-route the wiring in the new?

RE: create in place

Hi

If you open the part and right click on the inter-part copy or the part copy you have an option to "break link" once you use this options the inter-part copy or part copy stay there but are no longer related to the original file. It becomes a dumb solid inside your part.
