PanelView 1000 Plus communication to ControlLogix?

PanelView 1000 Plus communication to ControlLogix?

PanelView 1000 Plus communication to ControlLogix?

(OP)
I am communicating from a etherNET/ip card with a controllogix 5561 CPU (Rslogix 5000) to a panelview plus 1000 (RSView studio machine edition)

Now my problem is that the values display in the panelview are in error so there is no communication between the touch screen and the plc.

From my laptop in rslinks, i can see all items and ip adresses are configured ok.

The only thing im not sure of is how does the panel view know that it has to send and receive information from the plc. Where do you tell it (look at this plc at this ip adress) didn't see when in the software to do this??

any ideas anyone???

Thank
Ray

RE: PanelView 1000 Plus communication to ControlLogix?

The communications path from the PanelView to the PLC is configured in RSView when the application is developed, and becomes part of the runtime file which is downloaded to the PanelView.

There are Local and Target settings for RSLinx Enterprise in RSView.  The Target tab settings are a view of the network as seen from the device (PanelView), that the application is downloaded to, and must be correct.
