Need help with sizing a filter in metric
Need help with sizing a filter in metric
(OP)
Hi everyone,
I feel silly for asking this, but this is a metric situation.
I have been requested by a client to size a filter for a roof top unit.
The unit is rated at delivering 1500 l/s and the client wants 1.7 m/s
velocity across the filter.
Would someone be able to assist me with the formula to work out the filter sizing? I came up with an area of .88, but am lost on how to convert that to an actual size in ?mm x ?mm.
I need to get used to the metric system once again.
I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
THANKS

However, the filter dimensions would depend on the coil dimensions. The manufacturer would be able to give you the size of the filter or you can physcially check the dimension of the filter from the unit itself.
Trust this helps
