Useless Warning errors after rebuild

Useless Warning errors after rebuild

Useless Warning errors after rebuild

(OP)
I have a problem that occurs in my feature tree of a part.  It occurs after a combine feature.  The problem is: if I scroll down the feature tree say half-way and it is after the combine, everything re-builds fine.  Now, if I scroll once more, no matter how many features past the current position, 1 or say 15, everything that re-built fine up to the combine gives me a warning of dangling features.  Everything that is newly re-built is fine, and if I repeat the same procedure from the current location the same occurs.  I can then move the line up to the combine, re-build, then move the line back down to where I previously was and everything will re-build fine.

A few notes to consider:

If I open a sketch no dangling lines actually exist and upon exiting, the feature re-builds correctly with no warnings.

The sketches for the next features were created after the current feature sketch, so everything is sequencial (ie the sketches weren't made before the feature they are actually used in).

I am using SW '05, service pack 2.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

RE: Useless Warning errors after rebuild

When you say scroll I assume you mean the Rollback bar?

Try doing a Ctrl-Q on the part of the file that works fine and see if you get any errors. If not scroll down, if you get an error then the problem is within that feature. Check the feature or suppress and remake it to see if the new feature works like the other one. If it does then you are doing something wrong or there is a problem there and you should contact your VAR.

Also try moving up to SP3.0.

Thanks for the input Scott.  Installing SP3 did resolve it.  It takes a longer time to rebuild though.  What it is doing now, when I move the rollback bar down, it rebuilds from above the combine instead of from the feature I scroll down from.  There must be a parent/child issue that is causing this.

You can get the parent child relationships by RMB the feature and listing them. This may help you further understand the problem.
