(OP)
I'm looking for a grommet for penetrating a honeycomb pannel, and have previously used MS35489 for this application. However this time I need to penetrate a .53 thick pannel, and it seems that according to the spec. the max thickness is .25. I'm not sure if getting something custom is an option, since my run would be incredibly limited (about 5 parts).

Any suggestions for off the shelf in this size range. Am open to another part that would perform the same function. I've looked in McM-Carr, and a couple of other places to no avail....

These are the values I need (lettered accd to MS35489)

E = 1.0
C = 1.875 (MAX)
A = 2.375 (MAX)
G = .53 (MIN)

Regards,

wes616...

Look at NAS1368 nylon Flip grommets. They insert like a loose-fitting flanged bushing: once installed, the end "flips-over" to form the opposite flange for retention.
