Hiding rows without the Hide command

Hiding rows without the Hide command

Hiding rows without the Hide command

(OP)
I once saw a number of rows that were grouped together. They were connected by a vertical line next to the row numbers and there was a box allowing you to expand (plus sign) or hide (minus sign) the group of rows.

I prefer this much more than right click -> Hide.

Does anyone know how to create this?

Thanks,
Glenn

Thank you.

RE: Hiding rows without the Hide command

In excel this is also Data/Group

RE: Hiding rows without the Hide command

DATA -> GROUP AND OUTLINE -> GROUP

That's the way I do it. Seems like there used to be a limit on how many groups you could have inside of a group (3 I thought), but I just played with it and got 6 before I was too bored to keep going....
