12V DC Motor Wiring Help Needed

(OP)
Ok, first of all...I know nothing about electrical wiring.  Now for the help...how can I get a 12V DC & 15amp, motor that has 16AWG red and black wires to run off a power outlet in the wall?  What do I need and how do I wire it?  Sorry for the stupidity and thanks for the help.

What's wrong with getting a 12VDC power supply?

The supply above is pricey and has more precise regulaion than you need.  I would look for a unregulated or brute force power supply.  Could probably find one on ebay for $40 or less.

The motor should have two wires and the supply will have two terminals.  To reverse the motor swap the wires to slow down the motor reduce the voltage.  To reduce the voltage you will need a regulated power supply or resistors.

If this will only run for a minute or so, you can acquire a car battery charger and use it. Alternatively buy a cheap battery and a wall wart outlet charger for it. (Presuming it doesn't need to run continuously)
