Solidworks on laptop

Is it possible to install Solidworks 2005 on a laptop with less than 240k RAM so that it still works?

RE: Solidworks on laptop

I'd say no, for operating system will require at least 80 / 120 MB of RAM on its own just to run, and SW will allocate another 60 / 70 MB just to load program and interface. You won't then have enough memory left to perform any operation without scratching on pagefile.
I have worked with SW 2003/2004 on a laptop, and my personal experience is that in order to work with a CAD in decent conditions you need AT LEAST 512MB of RAM and a good video chip. I repeat: work... because if it's only to try functions for your fun, a machine with 256MB of RAM will be OK.
