Power divider gearbox -1 shaft in 3 out

Power divider gearbox -1 shaft in 3 out

RE: Power divider gearbox -1 shaft in 3 out

1 to 2 power divider gearboxes are extremely common as they are used in all 4-wheel drive vehicles. I'm sure they build 1 to 3 power divider boxes but they are probably not common. First the direction of the power being sent is it distrubuted evenly at 60,180,300 degrees? Anything can be designed and can be built.

RE: Power divider gearbox -1 shaft in 3 out

A lot of AWD cars that are based on FWDs use a 3 out diff - one shaft to each front wheel, and one to the propshaft to the rear wheels.

RE: Power divider gearbox -1 shaft in 3 out

Many of the 3-output transaxles on AWD cars have two differentials in them (front and center) as well. It depends on the type of AWD system that is desired.

The type of gearbox shown and many variations thereof are very common in the ag equipment industry. Some of the gearbox manufacturers are: Comer, Bondioli & Pavesi, Omni, ITG and John Deere to name a few.
