Material suggestions for high power microwave antennas
Material suggestions for high power microwave antennas
(OP)
Can anyone suggest references for materials and their dielectric breakdown properties for use in the 1 to 3 Ghz frequency range.
I would like to find a low cost material, possibly a stadard dielectric from a manufacturer who has some control over the dielectric value. I am proposing a high power antenna used at low altitude and need to substitue air with dielectric to prevent breakdown.
Any info on how to minimize arcing at the edge of the antenna, i.e. at the metal/dielectric edge would be appreciated. I realize power line transormers have a specific shape, info on that area would be appreciated.
Thanks,
kch
