patterning holes in sheetmetal

(OP)
I have a sheetmetal part that has a 6in bend radius on it.  i have a hole that i want to pattern in one direction, along the edge, starting at the corner of say side a and working it's way around the radius to the other side, say side b. The problem is that becuase of my spacing and dimensions on the side one of the holes ends up landing right on the tanget between the radius and the flat.  Catia won't let me creat the pattern becuase of this.  i've tried creating the holes and then bending the sheetmetal and that still won't work.  Any suggestions?

RE: patterning holes in sheetmetal

Hi mark528,
Try to make the pattern of the hole on the unfolded SM part and give the pattern direction with a standard plane you have (xy, yz or zx, depending on wich is good for you) and not the edge of your part.

regards,
jozsef
