Fillet and Cul-de-sac profiles

Fillet and Cul-de-sac profiles

(OP)
Besides working out computations by hand, what software can be used to determine fillet and cul-de-sac profiles. Can site-works (Microstation) be used?

RE: Fillet and Cul-de-sac profiles

I don't know much about Microstation, but I do know that Terramodel can do it, so I'd guess that Microstation can too.

RE: Fillet and Cul-de-sac profiles

SiteWorks ?  That pretty old software you have there!  You are going to need InRoads to output your transition control lines from your surfaces and then use the "fillet features" command. There is also a cul-de-sac alignment generator so you can generate a horiz. alignment then a profile.

RE: Fillet and Cul-de-sac profiles

We use Land Desk Development (LDD) which is put out Autodesk.  It is excellent at this task, but has a learning curve.
