Annotations in assemblies

Annotations in assemblies

Annotations in assemblies

(OP)
Hey all,
I've searched the forums here and can't find an answer to this.  We're still using 2004 in some cases, gradually changing over to 2005 SP3.  I'm having problems with dimensions that keep popping up in assemblies.  I can right-click on the annotations folder in the design tree and click anything and it will go away temporarily.  If I open another assembly and return to the main assembly, the dimensions are back.

Does anyone know what's going on?  I'm guessing it's a setting somewhere, but I can't find it.

Thanks,
Alan Riddick

RE: Annotations in assemblies

Go to the "View" menu and uncheck "All Annotations".

That was my first action...it didn't work.  Any other suggestions?

RE: Annotations in assemblies

I think you have to go to the Part's Annotations folder and disable it there.

I've unchecked the "all annotations" in the "view" menu.  All the options under the "Annotations" folder in the design tree are unchecked.

With this, I can open a sub-assembly with the exact same settings as the main assembly ...then come back to the main assembly and the annotations are there.

I hope this clears up the description of what's happening and what I have checked/unchecked.

Oh, I also have everything unchecked under the "details" option inside the Annotations right-click folder.

RE: Annotations in assemblies

You will have to go to each part and hide this or narrow it down to a single part and hide it. This is the only workaround at this time.

There is an SPR# for this problem since SW04.
