Free Form Surfacing

Free Form Surfacing

I am unable to select an entire quilt for free form manipulation, only an individual surface. Is their a method for selecting the entire quilt? I need to adjust the surface to account for metal spring back. It's a class A surface so it must be smooth.

RE: Free Form Surfacing

If you use the query select functionality using your Right Button you should see the surfaces highlight and then when you hit the right button again it should highlight other possible selections and soon the Quilt should be shown as an option.

Have you tried this already? What version of PRo are you using?

Michael

RE: Free Form Surfacing

The Surface Free Form feature only works for individual surfaces, why not use Warp for your free form manipulation?

RocketRonnie: Does Warp have the same functionality? I haven't used it before. I'm using Wildfire.

RE: Free Form Surfacing

I agree with RocketRonnie, however, the Sculpt tool in Warp is only in Wildfire 2.
It is very similar to the Free Form tool, except works with quilts, as Ronnie pointed out.

Justkeepgiviner: Thanks for the info. My IT guy has promised 2.0 by the end of the day.

RE: Free Form Surfacing

Wow, I wish I had an IT department that acted that quickly!

Best of luck

I said he promised. I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks again for the help. I may have additional questions once I take a look at the new version.
