Opening cgr file in SW

Opening cgr file in SW

(OP)
I'm running SWX 2005.
I have a CATIA *.cgr file. when I try to bring it into SW it says that it failed. However, when I bring in a cgr that was exported from SWX, it comes in fine. I tried STEP and IGES from CATIA but to no avail. All I have is the cgr info. Did anyone run into this situation?

RE: Opening cgr file in SW

To import CATIA you must have the CATIA Translator. the CGR file is a simple Graphics file and will do you no good in a solid form.

See help and release notes for Import and export options available.

Scott, back me up on this one, but I think the "best" converter for CATIA and SW is from Elysium.

RE: Opening cgr file in SW

I can't because I have never used it. The literature looks good on it, but that is as far as I have seen of it.

We sell the format works and CADCAM-e and both work very well.

Radialsoft sucks, I have access to it, but we haven't had very good results using it as well as are customers.
