getting rid of "pictorial" file icons?

getting rid of "pictorial" file icons?

getting rid of "pictorial" file icons?

(OP)
Does anyone know the secret behind getting rid of the annoying "custom" file icons (that are pictures of the part or assembly) that show up for solidworks part and assembly files.  I'm using Win2000 Pro and it slows my system down to a halt when I'm browsing a folder with alot of large files.

Thanks.

RE: getting rid of "pictorial" file icons?

Go to Tools > Options > System Options& deselect [/b]Show thumbnail graphics in Windows Explorer[/b]. This should return the icons to the generic SW icons.
You will have to restart SW before it takes effect.
