Sources for low-cost ASME Sect VIII D1 Software?

Sources for low-cost ASME Sect VIII D1 Software?

(OP)
Can anyone recommend sources for low-cost software (Freeware - Shareware?) to perform basic ASME Sect. VIII, Div 1 calculations for shells, heads and reinforcements needed to reverse-engineer vintage pressure vessels in a small chemical processing plant?

I can develop spreadsheet formulas for shell and head calcs, but reverse-engineering reinforcement calculations using a spreadsheet is more challenging.

The application is a small chemical processing plant that needs to evaluate inspection results from the vintage vessels and other pressure equipment to determine if the equipment is suitable for continued operation.

The plant budget can not support full-featured ASME design software of the type high-volume users such as large E&C firm or fabricators employ to design pressure equipment.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim McHaney
