File sizes are HUGE!

File sizes are HUGE!

File sizes are HUGE!

(OP)
I just started to notice that a lot of my part files are huge. Some of my assembly files are big also. If I do a save as to a different name they get up to 10 times smaller. Why is this? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better way to get them back smaller again w/o opening them all and saving them twice? I have also noticed that when you do a save as to a different name the size of the drops tremendously but as soon as you do a regular save the file doubles from the initial small size. Kind of weird. Curious to hear the opinions out there.

Thanks,

Another trick is to reduce image quality for shaded and wire frame views.
