How the braided copper wire is soldered into a carbon brush?
How the braided copper wire is soldered into a carbon brush?
(OP)
I needs to fix the motor of an automatic window in my 93 Camry. Somehow during the process, I broke the subtle carbon brush and need to replace them. I could not find discount carbon brush as a repair part in autoparts stores. If someone knows, please tip me. I then try using the carbon stick from a used C-size battery and manufacturing it into the shape I need. There came the problem, I could not solder the braided copper wire onto the carbon graphite easily. I wonder how this is done on commercial parts? Is there a special machine for such job? Thank you.

However, for this recent of a car it would be cheaper to go to a junkyard and buy a used motor.
