Sounds stupid, but just learned what select tangency does.

Its never stupid to learn something new.  Keep exploring, lots more to learn!  Most of my recent learning has come from this website.

I suspect for every one of us who "admits" they just learned something, there are quite a few more who also learned but choose not to admit it.  Normally I am in that category.

That doesn't sound stupid at all.  I am still learning new things about SW every day, as I'm sure all of us are.

Half the battle is being in a situation where you need to use the tools you don't know how to use.  For instance, I just changed jobs,  the place I was at before I was doing complex assemblies with simple parts, now I'm doing simple assemblies with much more complicated parts.  So I'm learning more tricks along the way.
