Designing and Economic analysis of wet cooling tower.

Hi everybody!i want to know if anybody know a website or a book that describe how to construct Wet cooling tower.(What to take into consideration:material to use,Economic analysis and so on).

RE: Designing and Economic analysis of wet cooling tower.

I know what a cooling tower is; have installed and operated many of them - both forced and induced draft.

What is a "wet" cooling tower?

RE: Designing and Economic analysis of wet cooling tower.

To Art Montemayor. I believe it is a matter of an arbitrary classification used for steam-turbine power generation plants: the cooling towers you mentioned are considered the "wet" type; fin-fan air coolers are the "dry" type.

Hallo Montemeyor,
Wet cooling tower is a Cooling tower for the closed-circuit cooling of water where the water to be cooled comes into direct contact with the cooling air dissipating heat by evaporation and air heating. The air draught required for cooling can be induced by fans or by the natural effect of the stack of the cooling tower building (natural draught cooling tower)
