Transfer UG data to CATIA V4.20

Transfer UG data to CATIA V4.20

Transfer UG data to CATIA V4.20

(OP)
What's the best practice for transfering UG data to CATIA V4.20 - and having a solide?

I have to get UG data into a CATIA .model file

The transfer succeeded, but our customer was not able to create a solide from my transfered data.
It containes only 1 skin, as I can remember from lightyears ago you need to have 2 skins, before you can create a volume and from that volume a solide? Correct me if I'm wrong here.

The data was transfered by STEP 214.

Does anybody has more expierence with these type of transfers and has some tips?

Thanks,
Pascal

RE: Transfer UG data to CATIA V4.20

i think we usually create a step 203, but i am not exactly sure...we usually go the other direction with that translation...

iges should also work, but its not going to give anything but curves and surfaces

btw- a lightyear is a measure of distance, not time

RE: Transfer UG data to CATIA V4.20

I thought a lightyear was the lifespan of a lightbulb!
