Hide All Types "STUCK"

This is not the first time this has happened...
I have an assembly (close to 1000 parts). I click VIEW & HIDE ALL TYPES is activated - but "greyed-out" so I can't unselect it. Usually - when this happens - I curse & then close SolidWorks - saving as I go. When I re-open the same assembly - I can then unselect HIDE ALL TYPES. Is this an "undocumented feature" - or am I missing something?

Thanks...

RE: Hide All Types "STUCK"

It is probably going into "Large Assembly Mode".  You can check if it is on in the Tools pulldown menu.  Look for large assembly mode in Help for other options.

That was it! - Thanks a heap MElam.
That has bugged me long enough to be embarrasing.

SolidWorks without a SpaceBall is like... stacking Lego blocks with out those handy little bumps.

RE: Hide All Types "STUCK"

If you are in Large Assembly mode you will get this result. You can set the number of components before it will go into Large Assembly mode in Tools-Options-System Options.

However I cannot explain why you can re-open the assembly and have it available. What SP are you running?

Best Regards,
Jon

I'm running 2005 SP1.1.
BUT - there's something "screwy" with my installation that the gurus at SolidWorks are trying to figure out (according to my VAR). Maybe this is related...
