DIN 5480 Involute Spline Go-Gage
DIN 5480 Involute Spline Go-Gage
(OP)
I'm looking for a software package that can generate the CAD (.dxf) geometry for a plug Go-Gage for the hub N48x1.5x30x30x10H and a ring Go-Gage the shaft W48x1.5x30x30x9f. I believe the gage quality should be LQ 4 DIN 5480?
I've looked at the KleissGears, MITCalc and Hexagon WN2 software packages and they seem like they will all provide the desired spline profile. But I don't see where they provide the CAD geometry for go gages.
Having spent a small fortune on the DIN 5480 standard and a ton of time trying to figure out the correct geometry and tolerances, I would greatly appreicate any help.

splines. Interesting as the parameters
are so complex. Are you not interested
more in whether it will function as
required.
RE: DIN 5480 Involute Spline Go-Gage
I have read the DIN 5480 Part 15 and it describes the Go Gauges in length. I believe I have figured out how much tolerance to add to the gauge to check the spline but I'm confident.

balls set at the proper dimensions or
are they the mirror images of the spline?
