AutoCAD 2006, Is it worth it?

AutoCAD 2006, Is it worth it?

(OP)
A few months back I upgraded to AutoCAD 2005 LT hoping that the startup problems had been worked out by then.  I hate it and am seriously considering going back to 2002 LT where I can import a .jpg file without third-party add ins.

Now 2006 is out.  Do any of the people who have gone to this new version have any feel of whether it is: (1) stable; (2) reasonably bug-free; and (3) worth the cost of upgrading (both in terms of the cost to AutoDesk and the time required to install and learn the new features).
