B.O.M. Question
B.O.M. Question
(OP)
If I have an assembly that has 5 different bolt types in it, all inserted thru the toolbox via drag and drop, how do I set independant properties so they show up in the BOM automatically.
Since each bolt in my assembly is just a different config of eachother, when I go to file>properties, and set my info, it changes for all the bolts.
Thanks.

Have you modified the BOM to include those properties?

RE: B.O.M. Question
Your answer to CBL was lacking a lot of information, as well as your intial post.
Custom Properties and Config Specific are the ways to set up each of the parts, then in the drawing the BOM will find the data used for that Config Specific component and place it in the BOM. The key is you have to set this up @ the part level.

RE: B.O.M. Question
If it is in both places - DELETE ONE! If SWx does not know which one to grab, you've got a 50-50 chance of getting the right one.
RE: B.O.M. Question
If you want the property to define all configurations it is best to keep it in Custom. If you have a specific property that needs to define a configuration put it in the Configuration Specific Tab.
You cannot have a property controlling both Custom and Configuration Specific.
