(OP)
Experienced with cold rolled sheet steel panels used outdoors in process plant facilities, many engineers in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry prefer stainless steel panels to eliminate the corrosion issues.  If some corrosion or other advantages exist with CRCA, please differentiate with other ASTM cold rolled steel sheet.  I have no previous exposure to cold rolled close annealed (CRCA) sheet used for panels shipping from India.

RE: cold rolled close annealed steel

Close annealing, the same as box annealing, is just an annealing process that avoids the scaling of open air annealing. Mechanical properties of annealed condition would be lower than those of cold rolled (strain hardened) and not annealed. There is nothing in the way of corrosion prevention.
