Gas - liquid mixing point design

I am working in a refinery and I want to design a gas - liquid mixing point.
The gas is mainly C1, C2, C3, C4 and the liquid is mainly C3, C4.
Both gas and liquid lines are carbon steel.Gas line is 4 inches and liquid line 1 inch. The quantity of the gas is much higher than the liquid.Both streams are not corrosive.
I suppose that a simple carbon steel tee might not perform very well because there is a temperature differnce of 60 C (gas at 80 C and liquid at 20 C)
I am not aware if there are any considerations about special materials like Stainless steel or an internal sleeve.
Also I would like to help me on mechanical design issues (distances, drawings etc)

Does anyone know anything?

Bil:

I realize you feel that you are perfectly capable of designing and fabricating an adiabatic mixing device.  But you've never done it before and you don't have the experiece and expertise.  Proof of this is that you are seeking help and asking basic questions.  This is not a problem.  What could be a problem is if you go forth and your refinery has to suffer a process failure or turn-down due to lack of performance on your mixer.

If you work in a refinery, that is normally what you do best and are probably an expert at.  What I recommend in these cases is that you issue a spec sheet to an experienced and recognized adiabatic mixer fabricator and buy it from them.  There are more than one of these fabricators in the business.   Even a mixer design - as simple as it may seem - is not an item to be determined by information from 3rd parties over the internet.  How can you tell if you are getting real, experienced, and proven technology?

Unless the oil refinery business is going broke - and it wasn't, the last time I checked - that's what I would do.
