Historic Building Codes
Historic Building Codes
(OP)
I have "Googled" to no avail. I would like to know what (if any) building code was in force in Pennsylvania or parts thereof, in the early to late 1960s.
Alternatively, was there a version of ANSI A58.1 (now ASCE 7) extant during that time period?
I'm trying to establish the likely floor live load an engineer may have used for a "storage warehouse" in that era.
Thanks.

RE: Historic Building Codes
Storage, hay or grain - 300 psf
Storage, warehouse, light - 125 psf
Storage, warehouse, heavy - 250 psf
I'm not sure where the "hay and grain" came from - perhaps more farmers back then...but the storage warehouse loadings are the same as today.
