Covert Linestyle resource file from Metric to Imperial

Covert Linestyle resource file from Metric to Imperial

(OP)
I have a custom linestyle resource file that was created with metric units. We have a job that requires the use of imperial units. The resource file was created utilizing a 1:100 scale factor in metric. With the proper conversion we are able to set the linestyle scale to 7.874 for a 1”=20 scale mapping. This routine seems to work fine. The problem resides with linestyles that are compound. The dashes or gaps become too far spaced apart, although the symbol becomes the proper size.

I am looking for a way to convert a custom line style library from metric to imperial units. Some linestyles can be converted with not much problems, such as a single line with dash’s and gaps. I just copied the linestyle library and coverted the dash and gap numbers to the equivalent imperial numbers. The problem resides with the point. The point is imported with a fence through Mircostation during creation. The size of the symbol is dependent on the original size. We need to globally scale all of the linestyles from metric to imperial. Is there a way to do this without recreating the linestyle resource file?
