Mouse "Freeze" in Unigraphics

Mouse "Freeze" in Unigraphics

Mouse "Freeze" in Unigraphics

(OP)
I just started using UG NX2 on a Dell M60.  While I am impressed with the power of this machine, I am puzzled by a "quirk" that didn't happen before.  My mouse will freeze up and I end up having to unplug the mouse and plug it back in to "unfreeze" it.

This occurs almost exclusively while in Sketcher and while using a tool that attaches a dynamic dialog box to the cursor.  My first thought was a graphics card issue.

When I asked my IT person about it, they checked into it and replied that while NX2 has been validated on the M60, it has not been validated with a USB optical mouse (?!?!?!) and was not able to find out any known issues.

Here is my config information:

Software:           Unigraphics NX 2.0.4.2
Computer:          Dell Latitude M60, with port replicator
RAM:                 1.0 GB
Graphics:            NVIDIA Quadro FX Go700, Driver v4.4.2.4
Disk Space:         55.8Gb / 32.2Gb Free
Processor:          Intel Pentium M, 1.70 GHz
O / S:                 Windows XP Proffesional, v2002 SP1
Mouse:               5-Button, Scroll Optical Mouse
                          Alps Touch Pad
                          Labtec Spaceball 4000FLX

Any help would be appreciated!

You can hide the dynamic box with F3.
see Thread561-99616
That may help you out in preventing the freeze.
