constraint problem: cam follower won't follow track.

constraint problem: cam follower won't follow track.

Hello,

Can anybody help? We do not have access to the kinematics package on catia5 but have had good results manipulating our machine by using driving constraints - however upon attempting to get our cam to follow a 3d wireframe curve we have noticed that the curve is not concatenated and breaks at changes in the surface.
Can anyone suggest a method of concatenating the curve - our attempts have failed as the curves are history supported and as such are ineditable.

Thank you in advance,

Matt.

RE: constraint problem: cam follower won't follow track.

JOIN is the V5 equivalent to Concatenate. I'd suggest you use federate ALL when you do the Join.

Cheers jackk!

Only trouble is my company don't have the necessary license, Don't suppose you know of any other options using only the GS1 license.

The only other option I can think of is to make a brand new curve that goes the entire length (or make a brand new surface)
