Tolerance analysis / Data output in Catia V5

Tolerance analysis / Data output in Catia V5

Tolerance analysis / Data output in Catia V5

(OP)
Hi everybody,

I have in fact two questions (as you can see):
1) Is it possible to perform real tolerance analysis in V5 (for me, it would be perfect to be able to perform such analysis directly in sketcher!)?
2) Is it possible to output numerical datas (for example, if I "perturb" an angle and I want to output the resulting value of another variable..., to be able to make a graph...)?
Thanks a lot in advance!

RE: Tolerance analysis / Data output in Catia V5

Question 1 : We do have some CAA code to do axial or radial Tol analysis... So the answer is yes but you need someone to code that for you.

Question 2 : Yes with a simple script.

Thanks itsmyjob for your answer. While I'm not very used with script programming, could you please tell me where can I find such a script and how can I run it in V5 (about the 2'nd question)?

RE: Tolerance analysis / Data output in Catia V5

Well,

The script is yours to create...

There is a 3rd-part Tolerance Analysis product that works with CATIA V5, called 3DCS. It works primarily with FTA, not sure about sketcher constraints.
