UG NX2 CAM training

UG NX2 CAM training

UG NX2 CAM training

(OP)
I have been a MasterCAM user for the past 5 years and recently started a new job where some workers also use Unigraphics NX2 to generate milling programs.  From what I have seen I am quite impresses at the capabilities but I am unable to generate any surfacing programs whatsoever due to my lack of knowledge in the UG environment.  Doesany one know of a good training book or website which will help me "wet my feet" in the surface programming aspects of UG unitl I am able to get some real training.

I don't need any modeling training info since most of the part surfaces are supplied by our engineering staff in iges format.

Thanks,
Mark

RE: UG NX2 CAM training

I hope that your comment "I don't need any modeling training info since most of the part surfaces are supplied by our engineering staff in iges format." means that your engineering department is using some other CAD system? If they are, then STEP would be a better option as it will transfer solid bodies which UG can use to better define the machining boundries. If they are using UG, WHY ARE THEY WASTING TIME WITH NEUTRAL FILE TRANSFERS??????????????

"Fixed in the next release" should replace "Product First" as the PTC slogan.

RE: UG NX2 CAM training

For training, I'd check into CAST (Computer Assisted Self Teach).  If you have the license for it, it should start up when you click that graduation cap, on the right side of the UG screen.
