Is there a parameter that you can change to have Pro/E open in full screen?

RE: opening Pro/E Wildfire in fullscreen

Yes, there is a config option.  The full screen Wildfire is the only way to go.

I think the config option is: open_window_maximized.  You will need to "Find" it.  It is not in the standard list displayed in your config options.

Worth the effort I can assure you.

RE: opening Pro/E Wildfire in fullscreen

Here is a website that will list all config options

A word of warning do not use the hidden options

RE: opening Pro/E Wildfire in fullscreen

Why the statement: "A word of warning do not use the hidden options"?

They can be very useful and in some are required to get your work done.

"Wildfires are dangerous, hard to control, and economically catastrophic."
"Fixed in the next release" should replace "Product First" as the PTC slogan.

RE: opening Pro/E Wildfire in fullscreen

Ben,

Maybe we should write a FAQ on using these config options because to the novice user config options can seem convoluted.  They're hidden for a reason!  I'm not trying to second guess anybody just trying to put out a warning "use at your own risk"

Shoelace, Heckler:

First, thanks for the reply.  Unfortunately, it didn't work.  I added that parameter into my config.pro file, saved it, opened up WF, still opened to the default setting.  Thought it might be the "window_scale" param but that is set to 1.000.  Any other ideas?  Am I doing something wrong?  Thanks.

RE: opening Pro/E Wildfire in fullscreen

I don't use WF but what I did for Pro/E 2001 is open the trail file the first few lines were 2001 getting started.  I will have to check what I did....it's been a couple of weeks since I fired up my Pro/e box.  let me take a look.  But in the mean time check out your trail file and search the PTC site.

RE: opening Pro/E Wildfire in fullscreen

From Olaf's site under WF2 options:
OPEN_WINDOW_MAXIMIZED (hidden)

"Wildfires are dangerous, hard to control, and economically catastrophic."
"Fixed in the next release" should replace "Product First" as the PTC slogan.

All,
I've tried editing my config.pro file with "OPEN_WINDOW_MAXIMIZED (hidden)" also, left out the "hidden", also added "yes" to the param.  Still, opens the same (about 85% I presume).  How do I view the hidded params?  Should I be using a different editor (using notepad to edit)?  Thanks for all of your help it is appreciated.

Also, I wanted to add, that I am running WF1 (M240) through IntraLink 3.3

RE: opening Pro/E Wildfire in fullscreen

The option is only available in WF2.

"Wildfires are dangerous, hard to control, and economically catastrophic."
"Fixed in the next release" should replace "Product First" as the PTC slogan.
