CO2 vent snuffing system

CO2 vent snuffing system

CO2 vent snuffing system

(OP)
Hi,

I'm working on a detail design for an ofshore platform vent snuffing system. The vent system, in the first place is not meant for continuous venting; it is thre only for upset cases. Max venting rate will be 40mmscf. And this platform is unmanned.

The client is asking us to design a CO2 vent snuffing system. Don't ask me why CO2.

My question is does anyone know the basis for sizing CO2 volume required, or if there is any standard (say NFPA) that talk about this.
